Professional Instruction
Courses are run by our founders, Jake Halsmer and James Wooten. Both are current Police officers and Wooten served as a Marine in the U.S. Military. They bring years of experience to the table of short-distance to long-range tactics.
All Levels of Experience
Our courses are made for the beginner or advanced shooter to take their skills to the next level.
Class Focus
Classes are primarily focused on pistol training for self-defense measures.
Check back with us as we will be introducing additional course for the rifle and the utilization of lights in a tactical environment in the near future.
Handgun
Handgun Foundations Class
Handgun Foundations is designed to equip the student with the knowledge every American should have regarding the handgun; how it functions, how to carry it, clean it, maintain it, and employ it. If you have a basic understanding of firearms safety, but want to be more comfortable using a handgun, this class is for you.
This is an 8 hour course of instruction.
Tuition is $300.
Prerequisites: Be able to pass a background check. Be physically prepared for an active day on the range. Come with an open mind, eager to learn and challenge your own preconceived personal limits.
Topics addressed in Basic Handgun LVL 1 include:
- Basic rules of safety
- Overview of legal use of force (WY specific)
- Gear selection
- Everyday carry issues
- Handgun manipulation and marksmanship
Required gear for the course
- Appropriate clothing and accessories for the weather and venue.
- At least 300 rds of ammunition
- Functioning handgun
- Enough magazines to load at least 45 rounds at a time
- Holster and magazine pouches
- Sturdy belt
- Eye and ear protection (electronic ear pro recommended)
